Our Green School
Medfield Heights is a Maryland Green School. The Schoolyard Habitat program, in partnerhsip with Irvine Nature Center, is responsible for many of our outdoor projects. In 2004, we planted our rain garden in the courtyard. In 2005, we completed our native plant garden along with the raised beds and butterfly garden. In 2007, we completed our outdoor classroom in front of our school.
Each spring we hold a Green Thumb Day where students and parents clean and plant in our existing gardens. If you would like to be involved with our projects, please contact Mrs. Stadler, 2nd Grade, Room 7.
